Tollhouse Chocolate Chips

Acrostic Poem #2 “Favorite Craving” prompt

Chunky so monkey
Hidden in my cupboard
Outta sight outta mind
Chocolate Tollhouse delight
On a shelf oh-so-high
Like wrapped Xmas presents
A space no one dare find
Taste just a nibble?
Effortless climb
Chip to my tongue
Handful by handful
In my mouth up and down
Perhaps I’ll bake tomorrow
Skip dinner tonight

*This acrostic poem is in response to the “my favorite craving” prompt posed by janny’s heart:

and James G Brennan’s tanka answer to the prompt found here:

I write about love and loss, what I observe and experience — I write about hope. My writing has been described as resiliently defiant.
