Lady Moon
Luminous Delight
--
Crescent moon
oh, crescent moon
oh, where art thou
lunar gal?
Lunar gal
oh, wispy vowel
coy mistress of the night
fair or foul.
Loquacious Moon
you’ll be found
nimble, new
amongst kite nouns
wispy windy
tightrope traipsing
tempting Venus
and her highness
the creamy milky way
with your wisdom
your wit
and sly-as-a fox ways.
Philander
surrender
dance asunder
if you must
in this
Merry-go-round
chocolate-glue sky
a grandiose trek
to the heavens or bust
dizzy and delirious
before donning that
full-moon frock
fat clothes
full throttle.
Play hide and seek
amongst branches
of these rogue trees
while you can
you lithe and thin
Lady Luminous Delight
bring him to his knees.
Tom, Dick, Harry
or M.
Tease the Big Dipper
with a whisper
as you wan
before he scoops
you up in his
magical ladle
large
ready to feed you
spoonstyle
to the wolf
preying on that flimsy
tutu
pink-mooned attire.
For as you know
my friend, my foe
coy mistress
Luscious Lady
of Nightsky
some girls
like you
like us
like-mind
have always had
a thing
for the wolf
we find.
